Bunny care 101?

I know I’m foolish so please don’t start in on me there. Some how my husband and son talked into getting a bunny vs. genie pig. I have done research on genie pigs before we set out to shop/ interview and now that we are home with the bunny I need a crash course on caring for a bunny. I thought the people at the pet shop knew they where talking about but clearly they didn’t. I thought I asked all the right questions like set up cost, monthly cost and up keep of heath cost, the types of fresh food that can give and so on( they lady stated that carrots are ok, she never said that I need timothy hay or gr, she also never stated that pine beading was bad, what should i use). I would greatly appreciate so good books or web pages. One anther notes can you feed a bunny cook veggies? Or rice? Do they need protein and if so where do they get it from?
