I want to tell a guy I like him. Advice?

I really like this guy, and idk if he liikes me, so i'm going to tell him i like him. I've known him for about a year, and we are really good friends. We text a lot and I see him on weekends when i go to my dad's cuz he's my dad's gf's brother. Recently, i told hmi i thought of him as a really close friend, and he told me we were just friends. Because of instinct I told him I thought he was just a friend too!!! But since then, he hasnt said more than five words to me, so I want to tell him i like him. I figure that he's already ignoring me, so if he says he doesn't like me i'm ready for it. Since he's already ignoring me, it can't get any worse. Can anyone give me advice or what they think on this subject? Thank you!!!
