Could some one sharpen their ice skates with sand paper? If yes what kind of sand paper should i get?

i dont know what that tred guy is talking about, but you will RUIN your blades if you attempt to sharpen your skates with sand paper!! most pro shops will sharpen your skates for $15. just go get them professionally done. its cheaper then buying new blades because you used sand paper on them.
