Hiking shoe vs. trail shoe?

I am going to the southern coast of Oregon during March 13-March 24. I hear that it rains often there, and I will be hiking and working outdoors often. Therefore, I am looking into buying some gore-tex boots but I cannot decide if I should get hiking boots or trail shoes. I think I am leaning toward trail shoes, but the Merrells that I was looking at were supposed slippery when surfaces were wet. I heard that they fixed it in later models. Does anyone know? Can anyone give me some good shoes to look into buying? I need to buy them by Friday, so please hurry! Thank you!

Dotcoms repossessed from GODADDY and now I'm being sued?

I bought some dotcoms from godaddy and a trademark company is taking them back from me after making a complaint through a National Forum. They said that the other company won. They say I can go to court and fight this but what the hell is this? Has anyone been through this? Can I actually go to court and win this? Or does anyone know any attorneys that deal with this kind of thing?

Strings sticking to material?

I have been making rag quilts and some of the material that I have used really leaves A LOT of tiny strings all over the quilt when it comes out of the dryer. I know I can use the sticky side of tape to get them off but does anyone out there have a better way to remove all the annoying tiny sting pieces of thread? Some of the quilts are COVERED with them! Could I maybe just put back in the dryer? Please HELP!!! Thanks!!
